Galleons Point Management Ltd was formed in 2004 to meet the needs of the Galleons Point development that had, since it was completed in 2000, suffered for 3 years from the inadequacies of the ‘one size fits all’ management approach of one of the leading companies in the industry. Their arms length, remote management style, that is typical of the industry in general, led to a point where the residents of the estate found themselves actually doing much of the day to day running and project management for no reward.
It was as a result of the foresight of a small group of those who were central to the then residents management group, that the idea of an independent, site dedicated company should be formed that could mould itself to fit the needs of the estate. The company would have to be entirely based on the development and preferably include people who understood the needs and aspirations of Galleons Point.
The result was the formation of Galleons Point Management Ltd. that at its inception comprised of a board of directors where two of whom owned properties on the site. GPML competed in an open bidding competition in 2004 with 10 other management companies from the industry including the incumbent agents and was the successful bidder.
From the very beginning GPML has sought to mould its resources around the demands placed upon it and successfully managed all projects placed before it.
The team responsible for maintaining the high service level demanded by such a large development which, comprises of 712 properties in 52 property blocks of varying sizes surrounded by acres of landscaped gardens has changed over the past 3 ½ years but with two of the founding directors still at the helm.
